Antique Print of Eddystone Lighthouse, 1864 This interesting antique print is entitled: Eddystone Lighthouse in a storm & dates from 1864. The Eddystone Lighthouse, first lit in 1698, is situated on the treacherous Eddystone Rocks, some 9 statute miles (14 kilometres) south west of Rame Head, United Kingdom. This print features the lighthouse in its third design phase by Royal Society, civil engineer John Smeaton. It survived in this state until 1877.
