 Crown Ducal Ware Chintz Octagonal Bowl, c 1916-1920

AG Richardsons & Co. Ltd produced this type of earthenware between 1916 and 1920. The company was founded in 1915 in Tunstall, Staffordshire, England, and produced items under the Crown Ducal trade name. This type of production is highly prized as the designs were hand transferred from a lithograph. The underside of the bowl has several marks and sports the maker's mark indicative of post 1916. Measures: 3 1/2" high x 7 3/4" diameter. There is some wear to the gold rim, and some marking on the underside which look like marker, but otherwise in perfect condition.
